To form an opinion of someone or something prior to obtaining evidence to justify that position is prejudice. To continue to hold that opinion in the face of conflicting evidence is dogmatic. Needless to say there has been plenty of both dogma and prejudice involved in Israel’s latest venture onto the world’s front pages. From [...]

Filthy Greens
Feb 3rd. Field notes from a trip to civilisation… There lies, in the Golden Bay region of South Island, NZ, a gorgeous small town called Takaka. It is a quiet and unassuming place; I initially believed it to be a perfect location should I, as a put upon NZ MP or Cabinet minister, ever need [...]

An Alternative
An earlier post of mine called for the abolition of the UN, or at least for Britain’s withdrawal from it, argueing that it was no longer fit for purpose. In a follow-up to this post, I would like to put forward my proposal for its replacement; something I wish to refer to as a “League of [...]

Time to scrap the United Nations?
News on the upcoming “Durban II” UN talks on racism, due to be held in Geneva, suggests that a number of nations including the US and Canada may be thinking of boycotting it. The reason given is due to fears that the event will be hijaked by those nations who wish to promote an anti-israel [...]
